Why This Matters
The initial advocacy efforts and movement for chromophobe RCC began just five years ago, sparked by patients and advocates who refused to accept the status quo. Prior to these efforts, there wasn’t a single funded foundation grant or dedicated initiative specifically for chromophobe renal cell carcinoma.
Today, thanks to the combined efforts of multiple organizations, advocates, and supporters across the chromophobe community, we’ve seen 9 grants, awards, and initiatives launched in the past 4 years alone. COA has been proud to be part of this transformation, working alongside other organizations and individuals to change the landscape for chromophobe RCC.
